Wash hands thoroughly before touching the tattooed area, and keep the area as clean as possible during the healing process.
Remove bandage (Saniderm) after 24-48 hours. While removing, run under warm water and apply soap to loosen up the adhesive, making the removal slightly less uncomfortable.
Wash tattoo gently with antibacterial soap and pat dry. Repeat this step 1-2 times a day for the next 1-2 weeks.
After your tattoo is completely dry, apply a thin layer of unscented lotion, Cocoa butter, or shea butter to moisturize it. Repeat this step after you’ve washed your tattoo, or any time the tattoo feels dry/tight. DO NOT OVER DO THIS THOUGH. You just need a lil bit!
If you’re healing with Saniderm: After you’ve removed the first application (the one I put on you) wash and dry your tattoo like normal. Apply second layer of saniderm and leave on for up to 4 days. After that, remove the second application and proceed with aftercare as you would with any tattoo.
DO NOT: Scratch or pick your tattoo. If it itches, give it a lil smack.
DO NOT: Soak in a bath, pools or any body of water until your tattoo is completely healed (3 weeks minimum)
DO NOT: Tan or expose your tattoo to direct sunlight. Once fully healed, apply a high SPF sunblock to the tattoo to protect it and keep it looking nice and fresh. (Just use sunblock in general ok it’s good for u)
